Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience or equivalent academic, project, or internship work.
- Undergraduate degree completed or within six months of completion.
- Proficiency in Python for data extraction, cleaning, and automating anomaly detection.
- Ability to master complex rule-based systems like regulatory codes and tariff schedules.
- Intellectual tenacity to pursue claims and find alternative angles.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for claim letters, reports, and presentations.
- Ability to work comfortably with ambiguity in dense tariff language.
- Agile mindset to shift between accounts and jurisdictions.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Full-time remote availability during core hours of 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
Responsibilities
- Apply analytical skills and business knowledge to identify cost savings and initiate recovery actions.
- Master billing rules, tariff schedules, tax codes, and regulatory frameworks across utility jurisdictions.
- Conduct retroactive audits across the full statute of limitations to maximize recovery.
- Interface with clients, utility companies, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to implement savings.
- Develop novel, defensible claim theories using tariff knowledge and pattern recognition.
- Draft persuasive written claim submissions and regulatory correspondence.
- Collaborate with the MIS group to build tools that improve account review.
