Job Details

JD degree and licensed to practice law in one or more US jurisdictions.
5+ years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Exposure to life science or health care organizations.
Proven track record of taking on projects in unfamiliar areas and driving them to completion with minimal oversight.
Experience advising commercial leaders on business strategies, product promotion, sales programs, and transactions.
Experience developing processes to comply with regulatory requirements, drafting policies, and delivering employee training.
Familiarity with commercial compliance, corporate governance, intellectual property, or labor and employment law.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate legal solutions effectively to leadership.
Ability to operate with significant autonomy and ambiguity in a lean legal team.
Resourceful, adaptable, and creative problem-solving mindset.

Identify and address legal and compliance risks across Product, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Market Access/Reimbursement, R&D, People Ops, and Finance.
Independently identify gaps in existing policies and processes and drive the build-out of compliance infrastructure.
Draft, negotiate, review, and interpret strategic, high-value company contracts.
Develop and implement internal legal and compliance policies, SOPs, and training programs.
Take ownership of legal questions in unfamiliar subject areas by conducting research and soliciting business input to drive resolutions.
Partner with the legal team to build a compliance program tailored to a lab services/life science organization.
