Requirements
- 4+ years of professional product design experience.
- A portfolio that demonstrates deep thinking in flows, states, and edge cases.
- Proven experience shipping products used in daily environments.
- Strong technical opinions on mobile UX, touch, and offline-first workflows.
- Ability to own the end-to-end design lifecycle: exploration, detailed design, and QA.
- Experience or ability to translate complex product constraints into usable interfaces.
- Excellent written communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to give and receive constructive design feedback independently.
- Experience with field worker interfaces, industrial users, construction tech, or vertical SaaS (bonus).
Responsibilities
- Design and ship mobile features for the Diary product end-to-end.
- Develop interaction patterns suitable for field work, including constraints like gloved hands and patchy connectivity.
- Manage and design the web-based review and reporting interfaces for Diary.
- Collaborate with PMs and developers on scoping, feasibility, and quality assurance.
- Contribute to the growth and maintenance of the Aphex design system.
- Conduct site visits to observe user behavior in construction environments.
