Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience in default mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance claims, mortgage operations, or a related legal environment.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or people-management experience.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage industry practices and claims processing for HUD, Freddie Mac (FHLMC), Fannie Mae (FNMA), and VA programs.
- Strong understanding of foreclosure processes and servicing guidelines.
- Experience with LPS-MSP or comparable mortgage servicing platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and changing workloads.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to compliance, quality, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the Claims Department to ensure compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and regulations.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members through performance management, training, and development.
- Monitor internal and external audit findings and prepare claims according to agency requirements.
- Review and approve departmental responses to quality reviews and audits.
- Monitor claim volumes and adjust resources and priorities to maintain performance.
- Prepare loan status information and operational updates for client and management reviews.
- Resolve escalated issues and identify trends in data integrity through system exception reports.
- Collaborate with clients and industry partners to maintain service standards.
