Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics, health services research, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in healthcare analytics, data science, outcomes research, health services research, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, applied analytics, evaluation research design, and evidence-based methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming or analytics language, such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Hands-on experience working with healthcare datasets, including claims data, utilization information, diagnostic codes, or comparable sources.
- Experience applying analytical techniques to complex healthcare or clinical questions and translating results into practical business or clinical recommendations.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently on complex and ambiguous challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated analytical concepts clearly to technical, clinical, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a matrixed, cross-functional environment and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Access to a cable broadband or fiber-optic internet connection with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex analytics initiatives evaluating clinical programs and solutions, establishing clear evidence of value across cost, quality, outcomes, and other relevant measures.
- Design and execute rigorous health services research and program evaluation methodologies, including systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, matched case-control studies, and experimental or quasi-experimental designs.
- Develop and apply statistical and predictive models to assess risk, understand behavioral changes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets and translate complex findings into actionable insights and recommendations for clinical, business, and strategic leaders.
- Partner with stakeholders across clinical, operations, product, pharmacy, behavioral health, and other functions to define analytical strategies, evaluation frameworks, and testing plans.
- Communicate research and analytical results through clear data storytelling, presentations, and recommendations tailored to non-technical and executive audiences.
- Establish and uphold rigorous analytical standards, methodologies, and quality practices to ensure insights are reliable and suitable for driving meaningful improvements.
