Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing and growing software engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on software engineering background with React and TypeScript.
- Experience developing backend systems in Go.
- Practical experience building systems involving LLMs and agentic workflows (model APIs, tool calling, context management, agent loops).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and architectural principles for reliable, scalable software.
- Working knowledge of AWS and modern cloud-based development environments.
- Strong technical judgment and ability to make decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and create a culture of ownership.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and grow a software engineering team, creating clarity around priorities, expectations, and technical direction.
- Set and communicate technical direction across agent harnesses, integrations, developer workflows, and workspace capabilities.
- Contribute to architecture, implementation, and important engineering decisions.
- Evolve systems for agent execution, tool use, context management, streaming, and long-running workflows.
- Extend provider-agnostic architecture to adapt as AI models and technologies evolve.
- Partner with Product and Design to translate emerging agent capabilities into intuitive developer experiences.
- Improve reliability, performance, scalability, and observability across agentic systems.
- Coach engineers, provide technical mentorship, and support career development.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to build scalable solutions and maintain architectural alignment.
