Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Current DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Competency in Linux operating systems.
- Ability to write basic scripts using Bash, Python, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, encryption, Zero Trust).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, automation, Ansible, and scalable deployment.
- Experience with DoD compliance frameworks (DISA STIGs, RMF, NIST 800-53).
- Experience engineering across on-premises, virtualization, and containerization environments.
- Ability to follow structured processes and maintain documentation.
Responsibilities
- Execute routine system tasks including user account setup, password resets, and access permissions.
- Monitor system functionality and diagnose hardware and software issues.
- Support deployment of updates, patches, and antivirus solutions in compliance with DoD cybersecurity directives (STIGs/IAVM).
- Contribute to security compliance efforts and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and configuration records.
- Execute backup and restoration procedures to ensure system continuity.
- Provide operational support for cybersecurity tools such as HBSS, ACAS, and SIEM technologies.
- Manage Linux-based sensors and hardware, including iDRAC and BluVector platforms.
- Respond to technical support requests and collaborate with the help desk team.
