Requirements
- B.S./B.A. in Life Science or related discipline (Advanced degree preferred).
- 9+ years of industry experience in clinical development with at least 3 years of managerial experience, OR M.A./M.S. with 4+ years of experience.
- Ophthalmology/Retina industry experience.
- Extensive experience in clinical trial execution across all phases.
- Thorough knowledge of FDA and ICH Guidelines, GCP, and medical terminology.
- Proven ability to recruit, organize, and motivate clinical operations personnel.
- Ability to manage functional and trial-specific budgets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex information.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a large volume of work with high attention to detail.
- Clinical Research certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Clinical Operations to develop and manage clinical programs in compliance with corporate objectives.
- Provide operational leadership for the planning, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials.
- Mentor and guide Clinical Trial Managers and junior team members.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Clinical Trial Operations and Clinical Data Management groups.
- Collaborate with Finance on annual budget planning and manage vendor outsourcing strategy and governance.
- Ensure clinical trials are always inspection-ready and managed by a cross-functional Study Execution Team.
- Contribute to the development of departmental processes and manage clinical resources.
