Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on PCB layout experience, including schematic capture in Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
- Subsystem-level electrical design experience such as power architecture or sensor interfacing.
- Solid grounding in circuit design fundamentals: power electronics, signal integrity, and component selection.
- Familiarity with microcontroller platforms like Arduino, STM32, or Teensy.
- Familiarity with flight controller hardware such as Pixhawk.
- Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ or Python.
- Degree or equivalent hands-on experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
- Comfortable coordinating closely with an in-person team.
Responsibilities
- Define subsystem architecture including power distribution, sensor interfacing, and communications strategy.
- Select components and manage bills of materials considering cost, performance, and availability.
- Perform schematic capture and PCB layout for autonomous systems.
- Produce specifications for connectors, cables, and harnesses for fabrication by the in-person team.
- Collaborate with the in-person team to review bench test results and iterate on designs.
- Participate in remote design reviews to maintain alignment with program milestones.
- Maintain technical documentation including schematics, design notes, and BOMs.
