Requirements
- Significant end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design experience for consumer-facing products.
- Significant experience leading design for consumer fintech products.
- Strong system-thinking ability to create scalable, consistent solutions.
- Strong visual design sensibility, moving fluidly between UI and brand-forward design.
- Craft-obsessed with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead design for key projects, including delegating and directing others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic product mindset with the ability to define product vision.
- Experience building and shipping mobile or web applications.
- Ability to use AI tools for creative and productivity multiplication.
- Must have a portfolio featuring design work.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Design high quality interactive experiences across mobile (iOS and Android) and web.
- Lead projects through the entire design process, from creative conception to production and release.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to define strategy and roadmap to achieve business growth.
- Provide feedback and direction to other designers to maintain high quality standards.
- Evaluate processes, identify best practices, and implement improvements.
- Utilize and contribute to the Step Design System.
