Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as an SDET, Automation QA Engineer, or QA Developer.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests for complex software.
- Experience testing Windows desktop applications.
- Strong programming/scripting skills in C#, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience with desktop test automation tools such as Ranorex, WinAppDriver, or Appium for Windows.
- Familiarity with Playwright for modern web test automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and integration into build/release workflows.
- Experience with GitHub or similar source control platforms.
- Mandatory proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Devin.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design, and risk-based testing.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and root-cause investigation skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve automated tests for the Caseware IDEA Windows desktop application.
- Work with the existing Ranorex-based automation framework to improve reliability, maintainability, and execution efficiency.
- Evaluate and prototype alternative desktop automation frameworks to support product quality goals.
- Integrate automated tests into GitHub and CI/CD release validation workflows.
- Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate test development, debugging, and analysis.
- Collaborate with developers to improve testability and observability of new and existing features.
- Conduct manual, exploratory, and regression testing for complex scenarios where automation is insufficient.
- Participate in feature design and technical discussions to identify quality risks early.
- Mentor QA team members on automation practices, tooling, and test design.
