Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining consumer-grade full-stack web applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience building software with agentic AI tools.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure for high-scale, production applications.
- Technical leadership experience, including setting direction or mentoring.
- Ability to drive projects independently and make informed technical tradeoffs.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills.
- Pass a pre-employment background check.
- Willingness to travel at least twice per year for team events.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, designers, and curriculum writers to develop end-to-end features that are accessible, usable, and engaging in real classrooms.
- Write and maintain production-ready code in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and SQL.
- Utilize AWS services like S3 and CloudWatch for asset storage, logging, and infrastructure.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI-focused products for students, evaluating generative AI models for safety and effectiveness.
- Take ownership of complex projects, driving technical decisions and collaborating across teams.
- Support site and user needs by monitoring production issues, deploying updates, and triaging inquiries.
- Foster a collaborative team culture through knowledge sharing and code reviews.
