Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping applied ML on real-world signals such as sensor or interval data.
- Strong numerical and scientific computing skills, including feature engineering from raw data.
- Proficiency in Python and a systems language (depth in one, with the ability to bridge to the other).
- Experience building versioned, tested, and documented libraries for other engineers.
- Ability to perform end-to-end data engineering including finding, cleaning, and profiling inputs.
- Practical fluency in Python 3.12+, numpy, pandas/polars, scikit-learn, and statsmodels.
- Experience with SQL/Postgres or TimescaleDB.
- Willingness to learn and use Rust with PyO3/maturin for evaluation and CI.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Must be able to travel 2x/year for company summits.
Responsibilities
- Own the reusable utility ML libraries for forecasting, disaggregation, demand response, and asset health.
- Build tested libraries with validation harnesses for client pods to deploy proven components.
- Manage the simulation engine using Rust and Python bindings to ensure performance and validation.
- Develop grid-data toolkits, including protocol codecs and synthetic scenario generators.
- Design planning and dispatch support systems for demand-response programs.
- Manage the release path for versioned software packages with attached benchmarks and evaluations.
- Maintain feedback loops with client pods to improve capabilities based on real-world performance.
