Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience shipping applied ML on real-world signals such as forecasting, disaggregation, or sensor data.
  • Strong numerical and scientific computing skills including feature engineering and solver-level numerics.
  • Proficiency in Python; experience with or willingness to learn Rust.
  • Demonstrated ability in library craft: building versioned, tested, and documented APIs.
  • Willingness to perform end-to-end data engineering, including data cleaning and profiling.
  • Practical fluency in Python 3.12+, numpy, pandas/polars, scikit-learn, statsmodels, and SQL/Postgres or TimescaleDB.
  • Experience with PyO3/maturin and building evaluation harnesses for scientific software.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel twice a year for company summits.

Responsibilities

  • Own reusable utility ML libraries including forecasting, disaggregation, demand response, detection, and asset health with evaluation harnesses and documentation.
  • Build tested libraries to allow client pods to deploy proven components.
  • Maintain the simulation engine including Rust crates, Python bindings, and validation methodology.
  • Manage grid-data toolkits, protocol codecs, synthetic scenario generators, and verification utilities.
  • Develop planning and dispatch support for demand-response programs.
  • Manage the release process for versioned crates and Python packages.
  • Collaborate with client pods to incorporate field feedback into future developments.
