Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation law.
- Strong knowledge of deposition procedure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex legal information to clients in plain terms.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high volume of files.
- Accurate and timely billing and time-entry habits.
Responsibilities
- Review deposition transcripts in detail to identify key testimony, discrepancies, and issues.
- Cross-reference transcript content with case files, medical records, and prior discovery.
- Update case files with new facts, admissions, or developments.
- Conduct post-deposition discussions with clients to explain significance and strategy.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients during the post-deposition phase.
- Maintain a steady, high-volume review queue and accurately track billable time.
- Escalate cases to trial attorneys or legal team members as required.
