Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation law.
  • Strong knowledge of deposition procedure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex legal information to clients in plain terms.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of files.
  • Accurate and timely billing and time-entry habits.

Responsibilities

  • Review deposition transcripts in detail to identify key testimony, discrepancies, and issues.
  • Cross-reference transcript content with case files, medical records, and prior discovery.
  • Update case files with new facts, admissions, or developments.
  • Conduct post-deposition discussions with clients to explain significance and strategy.
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients during the post-deposition phase.
  • Maintain a steady, high-volume review queue and accurately track billable time.
  • Escalate cases to trial attorneys or legal team members as required.
