2+ years of experience designing and building backend services in production.
Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals including consistency, failure modes, and resiliency.
Experience building APIs and data models depended upon by other teams or customers.
Proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as TypeScript/Node, Go, Rust, or Java.
Experience with relational databases and at least one additional storage type: key-value, document, or time-series.
Hands-on experience with production service ownership, on-call support, incident response, and postmortems.
Familiarity with observability tooling, including metrics, tracing, logging, and SLOs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical design documentation and asynchronous collaboration.
Ability to work cross-functionally with product and design to define scope, trade-offs, and delivery increments.

Own a TnT subdomain, taking technical responsibility for components like OAuth/SSO flows, audit logging, telemetry ingestion, or permissions models.
Drive features end-to-end by writing design documents, aligning stakeholders, and handling implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Build for enterprise reliability by designing with observability and rollback paths in mind, and participating in on-call rotations and postmortems.
Collaborate across functions with product and design teams to scope and prioritize work using clear, async-first communication.
Contribute to team growth through active participation in code reviews, design discussions, and the establishment of technical standards.
