- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- At least three years of experience designing and/or teaching high-quality secondary math instruction
- Proven record of developing rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive curriculum
- Ability to design scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans
- Experience creating formative and summative assessments
- Familiarity with New York State academic standards
- Expertise in embedding inquiry-based learning and conceptual understanding
- Strong collaboration skills for working with academic leaders and coaches
- Commitment to equity and diversity in education
Responsibilities
- Design full-course curricula for middle school math subjects including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans
- Develop student-facing lessons, problem sets, labs, projects, and real-world applications
- Create high-quality homework aligned with the course
- Design formative and summative assessments with clear success criteria
- Ensure alignment to New York State standards and Zeta’s academic vision
- Embed inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, and opportunities for analytical thinking
- Collaborate with academic leaders and instructional coaches to ensure coherence
- Iterate and improve materials based on feedback and student performance data
