Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting.
- Extensive experience in consulting, professional services, or technical pre-sales environments.
- Demonstrated expertise owning the technical workstream of complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Strong hands-on Databricks architecture and implementation experience.
- Deep knowledge of modern data engineering including Spark, SQL, and Python.
- Proven experience with lakehouse architecture, medallion patterns, Unity Catalog, and Delta Lake.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and semantic layer patterns.
- Experience with enterprise data platform or warehouse migrations.
- Strong ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading client discovery, architecture workshops, and SOW scoping.
- Databricks certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions with client engineering, data, and executive stakeholders.
- Design architectures for Databricks platforms, migrations, and modernization programs.
- Define lakehouse and medallion architectures (bronze, silver, gold layers).
- Translate technical requirements into project scope, resource plans, and statements of work.
- Develop and deliver technical demos, proofs of concept, and solution presentations.
- Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to ensure successful engagement handoffs.
- Create reusable pre-sales assets including reference architectures and estimation models.
