Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional project development experience (10-15 years preferred).
- Deep, demonstrable knowledge of the ERCOT market is required.
- Experience with solar siting and land acquisition.
- Intimate knowledge of the ERCOT transmission system and grid analysis.
- Understanding of Federal, State, and Local project permitting processes.
- Knowledge of the interconnection study process and RTO market operations.
- Technical understanding of solar and energy storage projects.
- Experience managing consultants, project budgets, and vendor relations.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
- Ability to travel 50-70%.
Responsibilities
- Manage Origis’ Central Region, which includes ERCOT and SPP.
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute annual goals for existing projects and site new projects.
- Acquire new projects and manage interconnection applications in coordination with land and transmission teams.
- Lead project permitting processes and guide projects through LGIA Execution.
- Evaluate transmission grids and land constraints to secure project sites.
- Direct Tier 1 consultants to conduct early-stage risk analysis and execute development permitting.
- Lead or support PPA negotiations and manage key customer relationships.
- Organize development documentation for Investment, Finance, and Construction teams.
- Manage vendors and project budgets via SAP.
