Requirements
- 6+ years of product development experience within apparel, accessories, or consumer products.
- Proven experience developing soft goods including apparel, accessories, and bags.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, hardware, and construction techniques.
- Experience working with overseas vendors and global manufacturing partners.
- Ability to provide clear visual and technical comments to vendors.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in PLM systems and managing product data.
- Proficiency in Excel and relevant product development tools.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product development process from concept to production across multiple categories.
- Translate design concepts into technically sound, commercially viable product specifications.
- Partner with domestic and international vendors to manage prototypes, samples, and pre-production units.
- Source and evaluate fabrics, trims, and components to meet quality and cost targets.
- Manage development calendars and project timelines to ensure on-time product launches.
- Conduct quality evaluations of samples, including fabric, fit, construction, and durability.
- Provide detailed technical feedback to cross-functional teams and external factory partners.
