Requirements
- Significant professional experience building and operating production software and customer-facing APIs.
- Advanced Python expertise, specifically in asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp, uvloop).
- Proficiency with Go and ability to write/review Go code.
- Hands-on networking knowledge: BGP, OSPF, ECMP, EVPN/VXLAN, VRFs, GRE, NAT, and WireGuard.
- Experience automating network fleets using Ansible and SSH-based tooling.
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including schema design, migrations, and database-backed queue patterns.
- Ability to diagnose complex production incidents across hardware, networking, and OS layers.
- Systems engineering mindset focused on idempotency, eventual consistency, and failure recovery.
- Experience operating multi-site or distributed Linux-based network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud connectivity (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud connectivity).
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain customer-facing REST APIs for network resources, including private networks, virtual cross-connects, and WireGuard interfaces.
- Develop asynchronous Python services to translate API requests into network deployments, including IPAM and resource allocation.
- Automate network infrastructure fleets using Ansible and SSH, covering NAT, firewall policies, DNS, and anycast announcements.
- Build integrations with connectivity providers and cloud platforms to provision virtual cross-connects (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Contribute to Go-based Envoy xDS control-plane services and manage configuration delivery to edge data planes.
- Monitor networking services, handle incident response, and investigate issues across application and network layers.
- Apply clean architecture and safe deployment practices to maintain networking platforms at scale.
