Requirements
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, with deep BigQuery expertise strongly preferred.
- Advanced SQL and data modeling skills.
- Practical experience with transformation and orchestration tools like dbt or Airflow.
- Experience designing batch and streaming ingestion architectures (CDC, event pipelines).
- Experience building data infrastructure for fintech or high-integrity environments.
- Strong understanding of data quality, observability, and production reliability.
- Strong ownership, engineering judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of existing analytics workflows and data processes into BigQuery.
- Design, build, test, and operate reliable ETL and ELT pipelines.
- Extend production Go services to support additional data ingestion and streaming sinks.
- Consolidate data from internal databases, blockchain sources, and market-data providers.
- Establish standards for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and governance.
- Develop foundational metrics and dashboards in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Own data quality, pipeline reliability, monitoring, and warehouse cost optimization.
- Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to deliver durable data solutions.
