Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating shipped products and complex multi-user experiences.
- Proven marketplace or two-sided platform experience.
- Experience owning a product area at a senior or lead level, setting design direction, and driving outcomes with autonomy.
- Strong experience with 0-to-1 product development from exploration through launch.
- Demonstrated understanding of marketplace discovery mechanics including search, ranking, and recommendations.
- Fluency with AI-assisted prototyping and development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, v0, or Lovable.
- Advanced Figma proficiency for high-fidelity designs and prototyping.
- Strong product and systems thinking to connect individual experiences to platform dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining rationale and building alignment across teams.
- Comfort working in an ambiguous, experimentation-focused environment.
- Proactive and autonomous working style suited for remote, asynchronous environments.
- Professional fluency in English (CEFR C2 / ILR 5).
Responsibilities
- Own marketplace discovery end-to-end, from identifying opportunities and framing problems to defining design direction, prototyping, and shipping high-quality experiences.
- Shape the design strategy for a two-sided marketplace, balancing creator needs for visibility, growth, and trust with consumer needs for relevance, confidence, and meaningful experiences.
- Design AI-driven discovery experiences, including conversational interfaces, curation journeys, personalization, recommendation experiences, and trust signals.
- Connect product systems and experiences, understanding how community, creator, content, engagement, and marketplace dynamics influence user decisions.
- Prototype rapidly and iteratively using AI-assisted development tools to explore concepts and validate ideas.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering to contribute to product direction and ensure feasibility and scalability.
- Drive design quality and consistency by applying strong interaction, visual, and systems thinking.
- Mentor and support other designers to raise the quality of design thinking and execution.
- Operate effectively in ambiguity by building conviction through experimentation and iteration.
