Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Deep experience managing the Atlassian Cloud Enterprise ecosystem, including cloud architecture and sandbox environments.
- Deep expertise in Jira configuration: workflows, issue type schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes, custom fields, screens, and components.
- Proven experience designing and governing Jira at scale.
- Strong Jira Automation skills for building and maintaining complex rules.
- Solid understanding of Jira REST API’s, webhooks, and basic scripting (e.g., python, javascript, groovy).
- Experience with Statuspage administration.
- Experience with Confluence and Jira Service Management.
- Experience aligning Atlassian configuration with corporate compliance and audit standards.
- Experience with vetting, implementing, and governing third-party marketplace apps (e.g., Scriptrunner, structure tools, advanced reporting).
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Champion the strategy for clean data architecture and own the architecture, configuration, and governance of 1Password's Atlassian platform, starting with Jira and Statuspage.
- Participate in the company's Jira Council to triage requests and drive decisions that balance platform integrity with organizational needs.
- Partner with engineering, product, IT, and security teams to build Atlassian platform solutions that fit operational needs.
- Design and enforce Atlassian platform governance standards including project creation policies, workflow standards, and permission models.
- Build and maintain Jira automations to improve data quality and reduce manual work.
- Lead Atlassian tool onboarding for new teams, creating training materials and enablement sessions.
- Own the Atlassian vendor relationship and contribute to the platform roadmap.
- Identify and remediate technical debt, configuration drift, and process gaps.
- Integrate Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems such as Slack, identity providers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate, manage, and audit third-party marketplace apps for stability and security compliance.
