Requirements
- Comfort with public health domain, specifically case surveillance and investigation systems.
- Proven experience managing and delivering services or products within the public health domain.
- Demonstrated experience in people management, mentorship, coaching, and career development support.
- Experience leading legacy modernization or system migration, including change management strategies.
- Understanding of human-centered design principles and their application in product direction.
- Familiarity and comfort working with DevSecOps engineers to support infrastructure and cloud deployments.
- Strong ability to manage stakeholders and clients to build trust and healthy environments.
- Understanding of software development methodologies such as agile and lean.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams including product, design, engineering, and operations.
- Successful completion of a company background check.
- Potential requirement to obtain a public trust or security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Own the integrated service and product roadmap for migrating at least three STLTs per year onto the modernized platform.
- Lead multiple project teams across devops, content design, and full-stack engineering.
- Partner with CDC stakeholders to keep migration priorities, timelines, and expectations aligned.
- Facilitate team ceremonies and stakeholder syncs to adjust project plans based on data and feedback.
- Set the direction for the team's work and align teams around project success metrics.
- Coach team members through the ambiguity and complexity inherent in government work.
