Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience with a track record of supporting production systems.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Athena/Presto) and Python.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Athena, RDS, ECS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Proven experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools in production.
- Experience with large-scale time-series, event-based, or streaming data systems.
- Familiarity with vector databases and LLM integration patterns (LangChain, AWS Bedrock).
- Experience building data quality frameworks or automated validation systems.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and contribute to team culture.
- Experience with version control tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical architecture.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data infrastructure on AWS.
- Build and maintain production-grade Apache Airflow DAGs and robust DBT pipelines.
- Own data lake and warehouse architecture including partitioning and lifecycle management.
- Design data models for large-scale time-series and event-based data management.
- Integrate LLM workflows using AWS Bedrock and LangChain.
- Build automated data QA systems for validation and cleansing routines.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
