Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping production web software, with strong experience across both frontend and backend development.
- Demonstrated experience delivering production features and owning releases from requirements through deployment and ongoing operation.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js, React, or comparable technologies.
- Solid experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL or an equivalent technology.
- Professional experience with AWS or a comparable cloud platform and familiarity with event-driven or distributed backend architectures.
- Strong testing discipline, including experience writing unit tests and end-to-end tests with tools such as Playwright.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and domain specialists.
- Strong documentation habits.
- Comfortable working in a highly autonomous environment.
- Willingness to work across frontend, backend, data, testing, and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Own product features end to end, from clarifying ambiguous requirements and defining acceptance criteria through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Collaborate closely with product owners and domain experts to translate business and customer needs into technically sound, buildable solutions.
- Develop across the full stack, working with React and TypeScript/Node.js on the frontend and services layer, PostgreSQL for data, and event-driven systems running on AWS.
- Build reliable, maintainable software using clean engineering practices and contribute to architectural and implementation decisions across the product.
- Write and maintain automated tests, including unit tests and Playwright end-to-end tests, as an integral part of the development lifecycle.
- Leverage AI coding agents, AI-assisted code review, and AI-driven QA tools as core components of the engineering workflow.
- Operate and support the software you build, including monitoring, incident follow-through, troubleshooting, and implementing corrective improvements.
- Document technical decisions, acceptance criteria, estimates, and changes in direction.
- Take responsibility for delivery commitments and proactively identify risks.
- Contribute to a collaborative pod environment while providing technical leadership.
