Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years of post-internship, full-time, hands-on, professional software development experience in large-scale distributed systems.
- 3+ years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages (Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby).
- Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC.
- Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias towards action in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy.
- Contribute to the full development cycle including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Review code and design documentation while providing feedback on product specifications.
- Contribute meaningfully to team strategy and participate in planning for the future.
- Improve developer workflows and recommend best practices within the engineering team.
- Balance rapid product iteration with code quality to maintain site reliability.
