Requirements
- Doctoral degree in health sciences (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent); significant oncology clinical/industry experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 5+ years of solid tumor cancer experience (GI, bladder, or renal cell tumor experience preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry-related experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
- Ability to understand, analyze, and communicate complex scientific data.
- Experience building credible relationships with prominent healthcare professionals (HCPs).
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and electronic document management systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Must be able to meet HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned facilities, including background checks and immunizations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute and maintain high impact territory plans, including HCP and Investigator engagement plans.
- Support clinical development and research initiatives, including site evaluation, recruitment, and investigator meetings.
- Identify and develop professional relationships with external experts in Immuno-Oncology within the assigned geography.
- Provide education on disease state, therapeutic landscape, and Summit Therapeutics products to healthcare providers and researchers.
- Monitor and provide insights from scientific meetings.
- Maintain expertise on market issues, trends, and new therapeutic areas.
- Participate in team meetings, advisory boards, and medical affairs activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to execute account plans supporting scientific or business objectives.
