Requirements
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- 0-2 years of experience as in-house counsel, government experience, or experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
- Admitted to practice in California or admitted in another state with the ability to obtain in-house counsel registration in California.
- Experience in contract law with strong drafting, review, and proofing skills.
- Understanding of key contract provisions, including indemnities, limitations of liability, intellectual property, and warranties.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Windows) and document comparison tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Available for limited travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate, and manage third-party contracts such as master services, commercial, consulting, confidentiality, collaboration, and supply agreements.
- Manage, analyze, and develop contract templates in accordance with company policies.
- Support and advise internal clients on contract management systems and processes.
- Collaborate with in-house attorneys and paralegals to meet departmental goals.
- Create and conduct legal training for employees and internal clients regarding contract processes and policies.
- Research and provide recommendations to business partners for resolving legal and business issues.
- Prepare contract summaries and issue lists for executives.
- Monitor compliance with internal company business and legal processes.
