Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Hands-on Linux server administration in a production environment.
- Experience with Windows server setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Intermediate understanding of networking protocols, VPN, and security practices.
- Experience with virtualization and virtual desktop platforms, specifically Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Ability to perform system backups, restore testing, and disaster recovery.
- Hands-on administration of Entra ID and on-prem Active Directory (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access).
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 services and SaaS licenses.
- Endpoint management experience (deployment, MDM, software packaging, patching).
- Experience working with an ITSM ticket queue to defined SLAs.
- Experience operating in SOC 2/HIPAA-regulated environments.
- Experience with generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Manage ticket queue and serve as the first point of contact for technical issues per defined SLAs.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and account access issues.
- Categorize and prioritize incidents, serving as incident command for internal and customer-facing disruptions.
- Deploy and maintain end-user devices, peripherals, and workstation software, including MDM and endpoint packaging.
- Administer collaboration systems including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Manage Linux and Windows server environments, including package management, service configuration, and storage.
- Maintain remote-access infrastructure including Azure Virtual Desktop and RD Web gateways.
- Administer identity services such as Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, and MFA.
- Execute patching for workstations, servers, and applications, and perform backup validation and disaster recovery testing.
- Write and maintain Bash and PowerShell scripts to automate routine administration and monitoring tasks.
