Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in engineering team leadership and people management.
- Experience guiding teams delivering products spanning cloud-based SaaS and embedded hardware.
- Strong ability to clarify goals, break down work, and manage priorities.
- Proficiency with Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, MQTT, and SQL databases.
- Experience with serial interfaces (RS-232, J1708, CAN) and network protocols (HTTP/REST, UDP, TCP).
- Fluency with Linux (imaging, system administration, containerization, networking).
- Familiarity with remote deployment and update mechanisms like OTA updates and edge container orchestration.
- Strong mindset regarding system validation, automated testing, observability, and monitoring.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and services (AWS preferred).
- Comfort using modern AI tools in the software development lifecycle.
- Growth mindset and ability to internalize feedback.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineers and Product Manager to define solutions, set milestones, and deliver products.
- Contribute to products hands-on and serve as a technical mentor.
- Guide the team to balance technical excellence with rapid delivery as products scale.
- Develop solutions for remote development, testing, and debugging.
- Incorporate AI tooling to drive team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate progress, learnings, and blockers cross-functionally.
- Define and refine onboard architecture and implementation processes.
- Manage team members to foster a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture.
