Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation, incentive design, sales operations, or Sales Finance.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience with at least one compensation, commission, or payroll system.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail for managing recurring payout cycles.
  • Experience with incentive platforms such as Xactly, Anaplan, SAP Commissions, or Callidus is preferred.
  • SQL and data-manipulation experience is a plus.
  • Background in SaaS or technology sales compensation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, administer, and improve sales compensation plans including commission rules, quotas, and accelerators.
  • Build compensation models, simulations, and forecasts to evaluate plan outcomes and business impact.
  • Configure, test, and administer compensation plans within commission systems and CRM/ERP integrations.
  • Reconcile commissions against bookings, revenue, and payroll data, leading root-cause analysis for discrepancies.
  • Produce leadership reporting and dashboards on payout projections, plan costs, and attainment.
  • Serve as a point of contact for compensation questions, preparing statements and explaining plan rules to participants.
  • Collaborate with Sales Ops, Finance, HR, and Legal to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Lead compensation-plan communications and sales enablement training.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline compensation processes for better scalability.
  • Support strategic activities including M&A, territory redesign, and incentive-program proposals.
