Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Python backend development, with good working knowledge of Java.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and modern software architecture principles.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, observability, production troubleshooting, and application security.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, messaging systems, caching technologies, and asynchronous processing.
- Proven ability to design scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available enterprise-grade systems.
- Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar technologies.
- Strong architectural thinking and the ability to balance long-term technical strategy with pragmatic execution.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, design, and technical direction of large-scale, distributed enterprise applications.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, highly available backend services, primarily using Python, while contributing to Java-based services.
- Drive architectural decisions, technical strategies, engineering standards, and long-term platform improvements across teams.
- Build and evolve distributed systems using microservices, event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
- Champion software craftsmanship through clean architecture, automated testing, application security, observability, and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to accelerate development, automate repetitive activities, and improve software quality and engineering productivity.
- Drive improvements to developer experience, platform capabilities, automation, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
