Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects or programs in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, initiatives, and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining visibility across competing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write basic queries and independently validate data.
  • Strong understanding of performance KPIs such as CPA, conversion rate, ROAS, pacing, and margin.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, create alignment, and drive accountability across teams without direct managerial authority.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and confidently.
  • Comfortable surfacing risks, delivering difficult news early, and presenting actionable options for resolution.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the initiative to identify issues, opportunities, and priorities without waiting for direction.
  • Experience in performance marketing, marketplaces, adtech, insurtech, health insurance, lead generation, or a comparable environment is a plus.
  • Experience working with immovable seasonal deadlines, major launches, enrollment periods, or other high-pressure business cycles is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Jira administration or workflow design is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools, LLM agents, or workflow automation is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Marketplace Operations project portfolio from initial planning through execution, delivery, and transition to ongoing business ownership.
  • Manage multiple concurrent programs and workstreams across Analytics, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, Sales, and partner-facing teams.
  • Establish and maintain the operating cadence for the portfolio, providing concise, executive-ready updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
  • Maintain a reliable single source of truth covering initiatives, owners, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and critical deadlines.
  • Use data, dashboards, and SQL to independently validate project status, performance, and progress rather than relying solely on stakeholder updates.
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies and emerging risks early, particularly those that could affect critical seasonal deadlines or major launches.
  • Build alignment and drive accountability across teams and stakeholders without relying on direct reporting authority.
  • Document key decisions, scope changes, risks, and dependencies to maintain clarity throughout the lifecycle of each initiative.
  • Communicate risks and difficult updates early while presenting practical options and recommendations for moving forward.
  • Ensure completed initiatives transition smoothly to business owners with clearly defined ownership, monitoring, and follow-through.
