Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field.
- At least five (5) years of healthcare experience.
- At least two (2) years of experience in coding, auditing, finance, revenue cycle management, or physician billing.
- Must hold a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-based (CCS-P), or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA).
- Advanced proficiency in process analysis, troubleshooting, and database investigation.
- Strong working knowledge of Epic, materials management, and charging systems.
- Advanced analytical skills to evaluate complex datasets and develop summary metrics.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for presenting to leadership.
- Strong organizational skills to manage concurrent projects independently.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
- Lead complex revenue cycle initiatives and large-scale optimization projects across clinical departments.
- Develop and execute detailed project work plans and resolution frameworks for multi-departmental initiatives.
- Monitor, audit, and validate active charging workflows within Epic and third-party interfaces.
- Analyze Epic work queue data and performance metrics to identify and resolve workflow deficiencies.
- Manage charging, coding, and billing processes to verify compliance with government regulations and payer requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders and revenue cycle teams to troubleshoot system issues and provide training.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for charge capture and support escalation issues.
