Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated process ownership.
- Solid, working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience in a public company environment.
- Strong communicator able to explain technical standards in plain language.
- High personal standards for accuracy, documentation, and completeness.
- CPA license (strongly preferred).
- Experience in SaaS, software, energy, or tech (preferred).
- Comfort building processes in a high-growth or transitional environment (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead EnergyHub's month-end close process including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Review and evaluate contracts for revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Support external audits through workpaper preparation and direct auditor coordination.
- Assist with accounts receivable and invoicing processes.
- Partner with FP&A on monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting.
- Serve as the liaison between EnergyHub and Alarm.com corporate accounting.
- Support SOX compliance requirements for public company reporting.
- Explain accounting requirements clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.
