Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent.
- 5–7+ years of experience in science, biotech, healthcare, or technology communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with experience in strategic messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific, clinical, or technical concepts into compelling narratives.
- Strong understanding of media relations, corporate communications, and the innovation ecosystem.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience supporting executive platforms in biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
- Experience working with journalists and building professional relationships.
- Familiarity with healthcare, biotechnology, genomics, or precision medicine is preferred.
- Experience using AI/LLM tools for research and content development is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Execute corporate communications and earned media strategy supporting strategic priorities.
- Manage daily media relations, including proactive outreach, reporter targeting, and inbound request coordination.
- Partner with internal teams and external agencies to leverage clinical and genomic data for media coverage.
- Monitor industry news, competitor activity, and policy developments to identify engagement opportunities.
- Develop and manage executive thought leadership content and external publication processes.
- Create briefing materials, talking points, and Q&A to prepare executives for media engagements.
