Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building scalable, production-grade applications.
- Experience troubleshooting Kafka-based event-driven systems (producers, consumers, failure recovery).
- Experience developing APIs, distributed microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Full-stack development experience using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database design, query optimization, and indexing.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and AWS.
- Experience implementing and optimizing search functionality using Elasticsearch.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, scalability, and performance.
- Ability to independently own complex technical initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Develop and optimize APIs, backend services, and distributed microservice architectures.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, and performance for large-scale applications.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Kafka-based event-driven systems.
- Develop and optimize Elasticsearch indexes, search queries, and performance.
- Deploy, monitor, and support applications in Kubernetes, including Helm charts and autoscaling.
- Contribute to AWS-based cloud infrastructure and Spark/EMR data workflows.
- Build and maintain full-stack applications using React and NestJS.
- Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and establishing engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
