Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in 24x7 production operations and high-availability SaaS or cloud environments.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with multi-account AWS infrastructure and landing zones.
- 5+ years of production Kubernetes experience at scale (EKS/AKS).
- 5+ years of Terraform experience managing infrastructure across multiple regions.
- 5+ years designing CI/CD pipelines and using GitOps platforms like ArgoCD, Kargo, or Flux.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages with advanced shell scripting skills.
- Deep knowledge of Linux, networking, distributed systems, and production troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or AWS App Mesh.
- Experience with observability stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenSearch.
- Proven experience applying AI tools or LLM agents to improve engineering automation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve resilient, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient multi-account cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Serve as technical authority for production Kubernetes (EKS and AKS), including cluster operations, networking, storage, and security.
- Design and operate production service mesh solutions for secure communication, mTLS, and traffic management.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and incident response using Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.
- Improve reliability through SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and robust on-call and incident response processes.
- Introduce LLM-based tooling and agentic workflows to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
- Define platform standards and champion infrastructure governance aligned with security controls like PCI DSS.
- Provide technical leadership and influence architecture decisions across global teams without direct management duties.
- Coach Staff, Senior, and mid-level engineers while fostering strong engineering practices.
