Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional experience in accounting, finance operations, or audit.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS.
- Practical experience supporting month-end closing activities.
- Hands-on experience with Odoo or a comparable ERP system.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and general ledger management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter mentality with a strong sense of ownership.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate ledger records in Odoo.
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Analyze financial data to identify anomalies, trends, and potential control gaps.
- Serve as a key contact for external auditors and maintain audit-ready records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve financial queries and ensure accurate accounting treatments.
- Maintain and improve Odoo-based accounting processes through automation and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulatory/tax requirements.
