Requirements
- Demonstrated professional experience in software quality assurance, testing, or a closely related engineering discipline, with experience appropriate for a senior-level QA role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience creating and executing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Experience with test automation and a strong understanding of automation principles and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, defect management, release processes, and quality assurance best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify root causes.
- Ability to work effectively with engineers, product teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and a proactive approach to identifying quality risks.
- Experience working in an agile software development environment is highly valuable.
- Ability to take ownership of testing activities while balancing technical quality, delivery timelines, and customer impact.
- A continuous-improvement mindset and willingness to contribute beyond individual testing tasks are essential for success in the role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios across product features and releases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle to clarify requirements and identify potential risks early.
- Investigate, document, prioritize, and track defects, working with engineering teams to validate fixes and prevent recurring issues.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions, helping increase test coverage and improve testing efficiency.
- Participate in quality planning and help establish effective QA processes, standards, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Analyze test results and product behavior to identify quality trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps in existing testing approaches and recommending practical solutions.
- Help ensure new functionality meets defined acceptance criteria and delivers a reliable user experience.
- Contribute to a collaborative quality culture by sharing technical knowledge, mentoring less-experienced QA professionals, and promoting quality throughout the software development process.
