Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
- 6+ years of programming experience with modern languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- 6+ years of experience working with cloud services, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
- 4+ years of experience in architecture and design of new and existing systems.
- 4+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals and experience delivering production-grade systems.
- Proficiency with LLM technologies and modern prompt-engineering patterns.
- Strong experience with software quality practices, including automated and integration testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills working across disciplines.
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, architecture, design, implementation, testing, and delivery of backend software and supporting systems.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable code and take ownership of system components throughout their lifecycle.
- Design and implement scalable, reliable backend architectures that support evolving digital customer experiences.
- Lead and participate in code reviews and technical design reviews, establishing high engineering standards across the development process.
- Own end-to-end code quality, including system testing, functional testing, integration testing, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate closely with UX, product, and other technical teams to deliver innovative customer-focused applications.
- Mentor engineers and support the professional development of individuals and the broader engineering community.
