Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, finance, or a related field, OR 6 years of experience in a health care or clinical setting.
- 4 years of experience within a health care or clinical setting.
- Proven experience with clinical research contracting, budgeting, and negotiations.
- Hands-on experience using a Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS).
- Knowledge of federal regulations regarding the protection of human subjects in clinical research.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex information from clinical trial protocols.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Orchestrate the execution of clinical trial agreements and negotiate budgets to ensure coverage of institutional costs.
- Utilize Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) to streamline workflows and maintain accurate trial protocols.
- Develop Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCAs) and ensure billing compliance with Medicare policies.
- Provide functional leadership, mentoring, and training to Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) staff.
- Oversee or assist in the management of a team of analysts, including performance reviews and professional development.
- Identify and lead the implementation of strategic process improvements and policy enhancements.
