Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, actuarial science, medical economics, or statistics/econometrics.
  • 6+ years of people or matrix leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering program evaluation results that influence financial or operational decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in propensity score methods (matching, weighting, stratification, sensitivity analyses).
  • Advanced proficiency in difference-in-differences (parallel trends testing, event-study interpretation).
  • Expertise in healthcare data (medical/pharmacy claims, enrollment, provider data).
  • Strong command of SQL and proficiency in R or Python for production-quality analytic code.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare financing, value-based care, and Medicare Advantage performance drivers.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics).
  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, or Public Health) is preferred.
  • Actuarial credential (ASA/FSA) or equivalent quantitative mastery is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end evaluation strategy for priority interventions, including study design and analytic plans.
  • Design and execute causal inference evaluations using propensity score methods and difference-in-differences.
  • Establish and maintain an evaluation playbook for standardized research, reporting, and attribution rules.
  • Quantify intervention impact across cost, utilization, quality, and operational KPIs.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to set standards for program measurement and feasibility.
  • Govern metric definitions and analytic standards across IT, Finance, Clinical, and Operations teams.
  • Translate statistical findings into clear executive narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Provide methodological guidance on power analysis, confounding, and risk adjustment.
