Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of underwriting experience.
- Equivalent military experience accepted.
- Understanding of underwriting principles and rating methodology.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Moderate knowledge of group life, disability, dental, medical, and worksite products.
Responsibilities
- Assess risk and produce rates for new groups with moderate autonomy.
- Complete annual renewals for all products and perform related maintenance tasks.
- Service current group clients including benefit changes and reporting.
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries.
- Verify sold case data including final rating.
- Complete financial exhibits following established guidelines.
