Requirements
- Proven experience building production-grade backend systems, data pipelines, APIs, or agent systems.
- Experience building agents, working with LLM APIs, or integrating complex systems.
- Ability to read, understand, and extend unfamiliar codebases in diverse technical stacks.
- Proven track record of shipping software in customer-facing or deployment environments.
- Strong communication skills for direct collaboration with customer technical leads and engineers.
- Experience with production deployments rather than just product demonstrations.
- Ability to travel 30–50% of the time during active engagements.
- Knowledge of streaming or real-time data systems like Kafka, Flink, or Redpanda is a plus.
- Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, public sector) or air-gapped environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build production-quality agents, integrations, and data pipelines within customer environments and codebases.
- Orient quickly to unfamiliar codebases and data environments, extending systems without breaking existing functionality.
- Own the full technical deliverable, including design, implementation, documentation, and handoff to the customer.
- Act as the technical voice for Redpanda, working daily with customer engineers, architects, and leads to ensure integration success.
- Prioritize project exit from the start by building maintainable solutions and training customer teams to reduce dependencies.
- Identify patterns across engagements and provide clear feedback to Redpanda's internal Product and Engineering teams.
