Requirements
- Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or equivalent degree.
- Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American Board of Medical Genetics.
- Two or more years of clinical genetic counseling experience.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace.
Responsibilities
- Provide genetic counseling to patients via telephone and/or video.
- Review patient personal medical, reproductive, and family history.
- Perform genetic risk assessment and explain identified risks.
- Offer relevant testing options and discuss benefits, risks, and limitations.
- Document counseling sessions and perform follow-up calls on results.
- Answer inquiries from health care providers.
- Assist in the development of GC protocols, SOPs, and patient education materials.
- Represent the company at trade shows and medical conferences.
