Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on analytics experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the trust and safety domain.
  • Demonstrated ownership of data used in external filings, transparency reports, audits, or public disclosures.
  • Ability to translate unstructured business problems into clearly defined requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and work collaboratively across functions.
  • Degree in a quantitative field like statistics, economics, applied math, operations research, or engineering.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Own the analytical integrity of safety data at Lyft, setting definitions, inclusion criteria, and reconciliation logic.
  • Serve as the primary data liaison to external data auditors, ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality of safety data used in external reporting.
  • Maintain documentation standards that ensure continuity across reporting cycles and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Run the publication cycle end to end, including definitional freeze, data lock, QA, and leadership review.
  • Serve as the analytics counterpart to Business, Legal, Policy, and Communications on Safety data.
  • Own the roadmap for the Trust & Safety reporting portfolio, determining what is measured, automated, or retired.
  • Set the technical standard for analysts on the safety portfolio and mentor junior team members.
  • Monitor and diagnose KPI performance and present findings to senior leadership.
