Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and building distributed backend systems.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Golang (preferred) and Python 3.
- Experience with containerized systems including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with databases including Postgres, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Hands-on experience with AWS.
- Hands-on, daily use of AI in engineering work with the ability to discuss impact and limitations.
- Comfort working directly with customers to scope requirements.
- Strong ownership mindset and high standards for code quality and system reliability.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Clear and proactive communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable distributed backend systems powering platform and product capabilities.
- Own backend services end-to-end from architecture and implementation to monitoring and long-term reliability.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering peers to actively shape product decisions.
- Scope solutions with clients building on the API by turning requests into concrete proposals and plans.
- Build and evolve Web3 platform backend components, including protocol integrations and smart contract interactions.
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, security, and observability.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment, balancing speed and correctness.
- Use AI tools as a core part of the engineering workflow for designing, reviewing, debugging, and shipping code.
- Contribute to technical discussions, reviews, and mentorship within the engineering team.
